Our social robotics team leads the banks research and development program into human robot interaction, a collaboration between the bank, the university of technology Sydney, the Australia technology network of universities and some of the banks key clients. The program aims to explore t he commercial applications of social robotics, enhancing customer experiences whilst contributing to broader bodies of knowledge and research around how social robotics interact with humans.
The blockchain centre of expertise creates, incubates and scales blockchain driven solutions, accelerating the path from research and experimentation to commercialisation, by leveraging the business expertise and partnerships of the CBA group. We work in close partnerships with clients, fintechs, banks, regulators and other market stakeholders, in a targeted and commercially driven manner, to realise the potential of blockchain technology. We have been looking at blockchain for over 3 years and have completed over 25 proof of concepts using an in-house dev team.
By partnering with Wells Fargo and Brighann cotton using Skuchain blockchain workflow technology to digitise the end to end trade documentation, share it securely and collect data from IOT sensors to track the physical progress of goods whilst in transit
Client education and awareness on cyber is one of our key capability and requests from our corporate clients. We have developed an interactive experience in the lab that will provide a mechanism for discussion and learning on this topic. We have a 24/7 cyber security centre that actively monitors and response to attacks against our infrastructure whilst ever system we deploy for your customers or staff under go a comprehensive security governance process and is routinely tested by our team of ‘white hat’ hackers.
The data wall is powered by the banks group data warehouse which effectively is a huge bucket of all the data assets we hold. Part of our core banking program was to ensure we connected our new SAP platform to the group data warehouse, so we could analyse our customers data for the benefit of our clients. We estimate having a banking relationship of some sort with 1 in 3 Australians and we see 40% of all car payments that occur each year. This and our wider food print collate up to 13 billion transactions to analyse spending behaviour on each year and up to 7 million customer profiles to watch valuable demographic profiling against that behaviour
