Partners Group seeks majority stake in Aroma-Zone
Partners Group from the Swiss canton of Zug plans to acquire a majority stake in the French company Aroma-Zone. The beauty and wellness brand, which has a growing presence in Belgium, Italy, and the United Kingdom, has tripled its revenue and expanded its store network sevenfold since 2021.
Acting on behalf of its clients, Partners Group AG has entered into an exclusivity agreement with a view to acquiring Aroma-Zone, according to a statement. Under the terms of the agreement, the current owner, the French investment firm Eurazeo, will retain “a significant minority stake” in Aroma-Zone. Headquartered in Baar, asset management firm Partners Group has been a partner of Aroma-Zone since 2021, backing Eurazeo’s initial investment through its European direct lending program.
As the “Financial Times” exclusively reports, the deal could value Aroma-Zone at around 2 billion euros and may be finalized as early as 6 August 2026. “We are excited about the opportunity to open a new chapter alongside our majority owner Partners Group, as well as our historical shareholder Eurazeo, and to continue expanding our mission of helping more people take care of themselves with confidence, in France and beyond,” Aroma-Zone CEO Sabrina Herlory said in the Partners Group statement.
Founded in 1999, Aroma-Zone operates from Paris and Provence. According to Partners Group, the French firm's “distinctive product offering and strong customer engagement” have helped create a “new market in the beauty and wellness industry that caters to a health-focused, modern, and cost-sensitive consumer”. Men represent 25 per cent of the customer base.
Aroma-Zone has experienced rapid growth since 2021, tripling its revenue and achieving an average annual growth rate of 36 per cent over the past four years. Its store network has expanded sevenfold, while its customer base in France, Belgium, Italy, and the United Kingdom has grown to more than 5 million euros.
“The company has created a highly engaged community of customers that actively promotes and shares its products,” said Andreas Holzmüller, Managing Director of Private Equity Goods & Products at Partners Group. “This acts as a competitive advantage that is hard to replicate. We aim to drive Aroma-Zone's growth, positioning it as an omnichannel destination for accessible, effective beauty and wellness products across Europe.”
