Accelleron secures ClassNK certification for LOREKA360° modules
Accelleron has received Products & Solutions certification from the Japanese classification society ClassNK for its engine diagnostics platform, Tekomar XPERT Engine, and its compliance and reporting tool, Emissions Desk. The solutions are part of Accelleron’s LOREKA360° digital suite. The company is based in Baden in the Swiss canton of Aargau.
The Japanese classification society Nippon Kaiji Kyōkai (ClassNK) has awarded its Products & Solutions certification to the Tekomar XPERT Engine diagnostics platform as well as the Emissions Desk compliance and reporting tool from Accelleron. According to a statement, the certification was awarded under ClassNK’s Innovation Endorsement Program, which supports innovative initiatives through independent third-party certification. Tekomar XPERT Engine and Emissions Desk are part of Accelleron’s LOREKA360° digital suite. The company says this certification recognizes its digital capabilities in the maritime industry.
According to the statement, Accelleron received the certification following an audit of functions related to data acquisition, handling, and analytics, as well as relevant security documentation. Tekomar XPERT Engine and Emissions Desk helps operators monitor their fuel efficiency, report emissions, and make related operational decisions.
While Tekomar XPERT Engine assesses engine performance data and delivers related consultation, Emissions Desk supports operators in “converting vessel data into compliance reporting and insights that can help further reduce emissions”, writes the statement. The solutions are currently in use on around 3,000 ships.
